J & S Agencies Ltd Specialist Architectural Ironmongery Manufacturers and Suppliers

J & S Agencies was formed by John Turner in 1987. It was integrated from the company Verestone Ltd, and for the first 10 years acted as manufacturer’s agents for British made products.

Since 1996 starting in a small way, we have been supplying our own architectural door and window products, with our market being predominately the supply of small batch quality archiectural ironmongery specials and supplying niche product markets. We were first involved in the supply of Anti-Ligature door fittings in 1997/1998. We have developed from then a wide range of products for doors, windows and bathrooms in partnership with customers, the NHS and the private health community. The Anti Ligature range has evolved over the years with a lot of advancements in the designs we offer. We now have 176 products with some having variances in size for various applications. Our range is always being reviewed for improvements, due to new innovations, a better understanding of product use, and our client feedback. We will always strive for improvements.

In 2004, the family and business moved to Norfolk, then in 2007, we purchased our current freehold of the current business premises in Aylsham, which we extended adding 65% to existing size in 2024.

We have a wide range of machinery in our workshop including facilities to:

CNC bar bending, CNC and manual milling and lathe turned parts, CNC folding and punching machines, a guillotine, a de-burring/edge softening rumbler, welding, rolling, drilling and press tools, plus a range of standard workshop machines.

We have our own full Solidworks CAD drawing facilities, which is proving very useful to us, our clients and architects. This is our first upgrade for product information on our website for many years. And all our products will have a number of new features including multiple photos for each product, cad drawings, a product leaflet and fixing instructions where required. We will also be including for each product group, a specials area and optional finishes will also be shown to aid sales. We intend to produce a paper and electronic catalogue, for those who need them. In conjunction with Chiltern Fire, we have achieved a number of fire assessments to FD30 and FD60 in both 44mm and 54mm doors for some of our products including our Secureview range of vision panels, port holes, letter plates and flush pulls, with more testing planned in the future.
